sophomore transfer guy rushing

So I'm from Washington state, which is not exactly a feeder state for Miami lol, but ya know, I decided to do my own thing and so I'm enrolling in the spring. I'm pumped, but I'm a little worried about meeting people and so I want to go greek. Anyway, is it harder for sophmores to rush? As long as Im not a complete tool and don't spend all my waking hours like idk, talking about shotgunning natty in my oldrow tank should I be okay?
