how competitive is rush?

Don’t be scared! You will end up somewhere. I was nervous too, but the process is so fun and I ended up exactly where I wanted to be!!

Yes! It is competitive. My advice would be not to get too stuck on getting into one particular sorority. Chances are, you will be disappointed when you open up your invites to return parties. Have an open mind and try to look past the social media hype. Each house has positive & negative traits (yes, even top-tier sororities aren’t everyone’s cup of tea)—look for the positive. Good luck.

It was very competitive last year. I will say that you do not need to be in a sorority to have an active social life at CofC. If you are really into the philanthropy and community of being in a sorority, you will find your place. If you are only into the astetics of TikTok than it is brutal to not be asked back to certain houses.
