sorority personalities
by: QuestionRushing in the fall and wondering the general culture of the sororities here. Trying to be open minded, just wondering where people more similar to myself are. Who has more northerners? Southerners? Who parties/who doesn’t? Etc

Why don't you wait and see during recruitment to find out? Because if you read stuff here, you will become biased and won't be open-minded during rush. Form your own opinion dealing directly with the sororities in question and don't pay attention to biased stuff on here. You don't know the people here, so why would you trust them?

i know youre supposed to wait till rush to see in person but tbh you wont know from rush what theyre actually like. ill hit you with the facts. the sororities with most southerners is probs adpi and tri delt. both have money. northern sororities are mainly axo, a phi, pi phi. the biggest partiers are zetas, kkg, axo. girls who go out but arent crazy are chi o and maybe a phi. kd is half and half- half go out, half dont. pi phis go out a lot too. the people who rarely go out are dz, gamma phi and sk but tbh those sororities have some of the nicest girls. hope this helps. tbh theres nothing wrong with a lot of these sororities, its just where u think youll fit in and find friends

adpi is split into bible pis and party pis and they never put the party pis out front for rush so theyre a lot wilder then they first come off as. In every sorority theyres partiers but you wont be able to tell during rush and DO NOT BRING IT UP the mems CANNOT talk about it never forget the five Bs: Bible (Religion), Bush/Bama (Politics), Boys, Booze, and Bucks (money). If youre a PNM do NOT bring these topics up!!!

There’s nothing wrong with this girl asking this. Rush can be very fake and there’s very little things you can talk about that are “allowed”. It’s hard to get a good feel for a chapter by speaking to 1-2 girls in a round of rush about small talk topics. Wanting a general description of sororities is pretty normal to ask lol, not sure why this was downvoted so heavily

this is not a reliable place to ask for information. It's full of people promoting themselves and putting down others. Coming here can cloud your judgment so you can't go into recruitment with an open mind. And you can get a feel for a sorority by observing the room and interactions and not just from the couple of people you speak to. I would argue this place is more fake than rush.
