likelihood of getting in
by: TransferSo I am transferring to Cleson hopefully in the fall and I am from SC. I have recommendations from some alumni from Clemson sororities and some that went to other schools. Will those recommendations help my chances with the houses? Do they even take recs into consideration during recruitment? Will they be bias if I am a transfer student but I have a high GPA? Will my age (20) affect my image during rush?

It kinda sucks but sorority recruitment here is pretty tough on older rushees. Recs and a high GPA are definitely a plus but in the end every sorority has their image and a lot want southern/instate girls because that apparently makes them more ''prestigious," and that will help you if you're from SC. I wish you the best but I would be careful with your expectations, definitely give every house a chance. there is an upperclassman quota here, but a lot of those spots have already been decided will go to the close friends of many girls in the sororities. If you already have friends in sororities from HS that can pull for you that's a big plus.
