UCA is a mid-size public university in Conway, Arkansas, and its Greek system is a real part of campus social life without completely dominating it. The school sits about 30 minutes north of Little Rock, and the community feel of Conway definitely carries over into how Greek life operates here — it's present, it's active, and it's not so massive that you get lost in it.

On the fraternity side, there are chapters from IFC-affiliated organizations including Kappa Sigma, Phi Sigma Kappa, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigma Tau Gamma, Alpha Sigma Phi, Phi Gamma Delta (known as FIJI), and the faith-based Beta Upsilon Chi. Sororities operating under Panhellenic include Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Zeta, Sigma Kappa, and Sigma Sigma Sigma, with Sigma Phi Lambda also part of the mix. It's a smaller system than you'd find at Arkansas or Ole Miss, but chapters here tend to have a tighter, more close-knit feel because of it.

Recruitment at a school this size is pretty accessible. Formal rush happens in the fall for both fraternities and sororities, and because the system isn't enormous, the process tends to feel a lot less high-pressure than it might at a bigger state school. You'll actually get to know the people during the process rather than just cycling through massive events.

Philanthropy is a consistent part of the culture here. Most chapters participate in campus-wide service events and run their own fundraisers tied to their national causes throughout the year. It's genuinely woven into how chapters operate, not just an afterthought.

Housing varies by chapter. Some organizations have houses or dedicated spaces, but UCA isn't a school with a sprawling Greek Row in the traditional sense. Social events often pull from off-campus venues and house gatherings depending on the chapter. Even without a dominant physical presence on campus, Greek organizations here still show up at university events, intramurals, student government, and campus programming in a noticeable way.
