Fresno State is a mid-size CSU campus sitting in the heart of the Central Valley, and it's got a Greek system that reflects the university's broad mix of students and backgrounds. The community spans IFC fraternities, Panhellenic sororities, and multicultural organizations, giving the overall system a decent amount of range for a school this size.

On the IFC side, you've got chapters like Sigma Chi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Pi Kappa Alpha, Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Nu, Delta Chi, Kappa Sigma, and several others active on campus. Panhellenic includes well-known nationals like Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Gamma, Delta Zeta, Alpha Xi Delta, and Phi Mu. Beyond those two councils, there are multicultural fraternities and sororities as well — Gamma Zeta Alpha, Lambda Sigma Gamma, and Sigma Theta Psi are among those with a presence here, reflecting the campus's strong Latino and diverse student population.

Fresno State isn't a school where Greek life dominates the whole social scene. It's more of a presence than a centerpiece — chapters are active, they do philanthropy work, host events, and recruit each semester, but the majority of students aren't involved. That said, for the students who do go Greek, it tends to be a pretty tight community. Rush and recruitment here are fairly accessible compared to bigger flagship schools, with a more relaxed vibe than what you'd see at a UC or a large SEC campus.

Housing varies by chapter. Some organizations have houses or chapter facilities, but Fresno State doesn't have a dedicated Greek Row in the traditional sense, so a lot of the social activity happens off-campus or through university-recognized event spaces. Philanthropy is a consistent part of chapter culture here — most organizations run fundraisers and community service events throughout the year, which connects to the school's broader emphasis on community ties to the Central Valley region.
