Fraternity rush as a transfer sophomore

by: transf

I am considering attending FSU next fall as a sophomore transfer from a big college in Georgia. Will any of the upper fraternities bid sophomores? Does Rush operate over the summer? If so, how do I find events? Thanks

Yes, most fraternities recruit over the summer but official pledging doesn't start until fall. You have plenty of time to meet people.
No, being a sophomore or even a junior will not affect you getting a bid.

Rushed as a second semester Sophomore, might make it a little bit more difficult to rush some of the bigger top houses, but if you get plugged in and make friends over the summer and are generally a good guy who wants to be involved and be a contribution to the group you’ll be fine.
