formalize fraternity recruitment
by: the solutionThe IFC should formalize fraternity rush, similar to sororities. It's more fair to everyone and everyone is guaranteed a pledge class. Tighten down the regulations so there's no dirty rush and help everyone achieve equity.

A new IFC wouldn’t be separate from the university, just separate from the other ifc. There are four separate councils, each with their own rush or recruitment or intake rules. If the old ifc tried to impose formal rush, a new ifc would be composed of the fraternities that wanted open rush. Then the university would have five councils.
Besides, all the nationals support open rush. No national fraternity I know of supports restricted rush. The girls have their own system and we have ours. But I bet there are some FSU chapters and I could name them who would support restricted formal rush for men.
There’s no way we would agree to that. And we would NOT have to lose university recognition.
