everyone in my rho gam group got dropped ?!
by: WhyCame out of chi o round one and LOVED THEM. Nearly everyone in my rho gam group wanted them first !! Round two about half of us got dropped but now going into round three, not one of us got chi o back???!!!! Can there be a mistake how are they dropping so many ppl. Are they known for being picky? And they aren’t even top gpa anymore so that can’t be whole reason :/ I’m just sad

So the way that RFM works is that the historically popular chapters, like Chi O, have to cut a lot of women early so that they aren't stringing people along. Yes, it stings, but everyone gets cut and you need to be able to bounce back. RFM actually helps MORE women get placed. Try to keep an open mind - Chi O is a great house, but so are all the other ones at FSU. You can have a great experience in any house if you have the resilience to keep moving forward with the houses you have left. Good luck!

Doesn't matter what the number is; the sororities with the highest return rates release the most and it trickles down from there. The numbers are relative among all the houses.

Quota is set the same for every house and is not a pre-set number. Quota is not determined until the final day after all the prefs are done and everyone has signed her card. There is no way to determine 'odds' because of RFM, Quota Plus, and other factors. Releases are never made based on trying to eliminate pnm's to get to a certain quota.

Among pnms “historical” for a few years now is top choice throughout the recruitment selection process. They put on a good rush. But again. So do other houses. Didn’t mean to hurt your ego :(
