letters of recommendation

I was just wondering, for next year, do the letters of recommendation have to be from someone that was in that specific sorority? How do these rec letters work? thanks in advance

A rec must be from a member of the specific sorority, but not a member of the local chapter. Any "ABC" sorority member can send a rec to the FSU chapter of ABC. A member of ABC could not write a rec to DE sorority.
