SDT is the most real and the most genuine such great people

to be completely honest, I hate greekrank so much, but I want to dispel the myth that people from other sororities come on here just to hate in each other... I live with people from almost every sorority, and we genuinely all love each other. most of this hate does come from people who used to be affiliated with organisations or are part of Greek life but not part of panhel. Gamma phi girls are known for being very smart and very hard workers. They haven't been on campus for long, and a result they are definitely still figuring out their image. However, from what I know they really love their sisters. A lot of them are very involved in activism and politics, so if you're into that then you definitely have a place in gamma phi. They're still seen as really chill and laid back, but I have seen a good number of them living it up at parties. I like having conversations with them, so I'd have to say you should keep an open mind in the recruitment room and figure out what you think of them from having conversations with the sisters!

I don't know much about theta, admittedly it's the one sorority that I don't have friends in. I am wary of their reputation because of the photo evidence of racism, but then again these women seem to genuinely be trying to make a change. If you want to talk about race or wealth in their sisterhood, try to talk to the women of colour in the sorority and/or the women in financial aid in the sorority. Don't just read and write anonymous words on the internet.

DG is the most "typical southern sorority" you'll find on columbia's campus, and is known to be more focused on wealth and appearance than other sororities on this campus. But, that doesn't mean that you won't find genuine friends, and a genuine sisterhood here. Many DG sisters really genuinely do love each other, and really look out for each other. If you think they're too "superficial" while going thorough recruitment, then don't join! Otherwise, just let them live. No need to be rude to them anonymously over the internet.
