I’m a current member of the sorority and there’s no question that some of the girls really love each other. It’s very very easily to feel isolated, however. If you want to join, go for it. Just know that you may not find your group of friends there.

while i am not in a sorority but was asked to informally rush to two different sororitys + did formal rush but dropped, i find delta gamma to be really misunderstood. i honestly feel like a lot of girls are just jealous they didn't get in. i don't know all the dg girls but the ones that i've met are really chill and pretty nice. they're not really deep introspective thinkers, they keep to themselves, are mostly white wealthy girls, and are also pretty/popular so that's probably why they get so much hate. there are mostly weird sororitys with weird/insecure girls at Columbia and the only comparable one to dg is theta. and theta is SO much worse in terms of personality + sisterhood (p much everyone hates being in theta but will stay because they like being known as the girl in theta). dg girls are nice, pretty, popular, and do a lot of cool things on/off campus.

I’m a member of a different sorority on campus and was pressured into joining that one. I knew there was something special about AOPI from the start and I greatly regret joining the one I am in now, due to the fact that the aopi girls are by far the nicest. Y’all are going to go so far, and I’m super jealous of how incredible your sisterhood is! <3 and oh, can I switch 😂
