Best Locations for Campus Activities
by: Taylor
Best locations for campus activities, plus outdoor living considerations.
1. Delta Delta Delta: prime location. edge of the top of the hill. can see Old Main from several windows. Multiple terraces/patios with great views & privacy. not a ton of livable lawn, but landscaping is right out of a storybook! top-notch.
2. Chi Omega: prime location. top of the hill. Great views from windows, but sits back further on property, so not as expansive. fantastic, private terraces. classic landscaping & front patio.
3. Alpha Delta Pi & Zeta Tau Alpha: They share 3rd. Both top of the hill.
ADPi outdoor space - Terrace options as well as a mostly level lawn with charming landscaping. European residential look. like something from England or Germany.
Zeta outdoor space: tucked away patio & terrace which gives them a more private feel. although slightly plain, the lawn is very manicured & beautiful. gives off residential feel too, but in a more American Southern way.
4.~~~ChiO/ADPi/Zeta/TriDelt ~~~ These four houses have a neighborly feel that has to be pointed out before moving on. Geographically speaking, they are very close to one another. If you're looking for Panhellenic vibes, something beyond just your chapter sisterhood, consider these four houses because of their locations. They've done block parties in the past with each other. They also have the easiest walk to the football stadium for the fall Game Days! now back to the list--->
5. Kappa Kappa Gamma: slightly down the hill, but still across from main campus. good views from some of the windows. decent terraces although small. larger front lawn that is manicured, kinda sparse, and not visually inviting.
6. Phi Mu: starting to get further from main campus more downhill. good views from several windows in all directions. has lots of pavers/concrete in the front that kinda give the lawn a colder vibe. nice terrace & landscaping on one side.
7. Alpha Chi Omega : further away from main campus. at the bottom of the hill. small patio on one side. clean landscaping on the plainer side.
8. Alpha Omicron Pi: further away from main campus. slight uphill plot of land that gives it an edge over Alpha Chi Omega for views. Classic front landscaping with beautiful trees. Broad views from the back of house windows. decent terrace & patio around back, but looks onto the parking lot. lovely rooftop terrace on the front that has a cozy feel.
9. Delta Gamma: far edge of campus. Amazing views from every window in the house & sits on an such an expansive plot of land. This house has impressive grounds-keeping. If you think you'll be pledging a house further away from campus and having multiple outdoor living spaces is important to you, this is the place!
10. Alpha Phi : under construction. no notes, other than far from campus.
11. Pi Beta Phi: far from campus. beautiful fenced in private patio behind the house which kinda gives it a country club vibe in a good way. nice rooftop terrace. front lawn has woodsy, residential feel. kinda disconnected from campus.
12. Kappa Delta: the furthest from campus & longest walk. private patio & terrace in the back look onto parking lot. no green outdoor living. steep, shallow front lawn that is right on the street. nice residential look, but feels disconnected from campus.

um, location can matter. some girls might want to be outside to study or exercise. some girls might not be able to walk as far for health reasons. there's a ton of reasons to consider in this whole process. be true to yourself - it's nobody's business if location is important to you.
