What is the hype behind lambda

I do not see the hype in Lambda at all. They have been at jmu for a while and have a very large chapter but the dynamics of guys is interesting. Of course some are cool then the other 60% is just straight squids (can cause public embarrassment just by looking at them). Just curious what others think.
