do you have to suicide after pref night?

ideally you're supposed to write them down in order of preference if you were invited back to two houses pref night. suiciding doesn't guarantee you a bid and runs the risk that if the one sorority you write down doesn't extend you a bid that you won't end up anywhere. But by "maximizing your options" and writing down both sororities you were invited back to- you are guaranteed a bid to one of them...not really sure why it works that way but i guess the recruitment process wants to reward people who went through the entire process and maximized their options. With that being said, i know many girls who suicide pref night because they can only see themselves in one of the two houses pref night and sometimes it does work out!
