recruitment

I'm confused about the recruitment process. What's the difference between informal and formal? Does everyone do informal? Or can you only get put int the sorority in the spring?

Informal is in fall or right afte recruitment when there aren't enough girls to meet certain quotas. Formal is what happens here every spring, where you rush everyone. When everyone refer to rush, it's the spring one in the beginning of February.
