Top 10 Philanthropy Events of 2015-2016 School Year

Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Michigan State University’s Paddy Murphy Week & CrowdRise Fundraiser- In 2015, the brother’s of Sigma Alpha Epsilon held a three-day event where sororities compete for a $1,000 prize to go to a charity of their choice. Sororities win points by donating and participating in events. The money, which was originally intended to go to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, went to support their fraternity brother, Alex Berlin, who was diagnoses with a rare bone cancer. The fraternity donated over $28,000 to him and his family to pay for treatment costs.
