Comment:  It’s been a couple years since I dropped this sorority and ultimately the reason I left UW all together. Greek life will expose you to a lot of bad behavior. Bad behavior that is not held accountable or talked about or treated with the care it deserves. During my first year living in those house so many terrible things happened and again were never acknowledged. And so much drama. It can be stressful already living in a new place your first year but to be met with so little empathy and genuine kindness from those around you that you live with made it much harder. I think the Greek system and community at UW at large is toxic and harmful. As a freshman I was so excited to join one. But maybe let this be your warning to give the university a try first before you commit to joining this house let alone living in it. I am now graduated from another 4 year university but I wish I could go back and have this conversation with my younger self.
