Comment: When people ask what it means to be “touse,” they’ll probably get a different answer from everyone in the room. Some people think it’s about being the biggest, the loudest, or the most well-known. But that’s not really it. Being “touse” means setting the standard. It’s about showing up for each other, making memories that last long after college, and creating a place where people actually want to be. It’s earning respect—not demanding it—and making sure everyone who comes after us has something even better to be a part of. Sure, we’ll joke about being “touse,” and we’ll wear the title proudly. But at the end of the day, the reason it’s funny is because there’s a little bit of truth behind it. The best chapter isn’t measured by trophies, social media posts, or who’s the loudest. It’s measured by the people in it and the impact they leave. So here’s to being “touse”—not because we say we are, but because we keep raising the bar, taking care of one another, and making this chapter something worth remembering.
