The total costs include housing, meals, et cetera, which can be less than dorm or apartment living. Many, many girls have to work either part time jobs or jobs during breaks to help pay these costs. If your daughter will be working then the daily figures I gave are good goals for her. I have two friends who wait tables during breaks to help pay for their sorority costs. Some moms also get part time jobs for this reason. I just wanted to let you know that we aren't all rich kids!
