This lengthy discussion and media attention indicates that the time is right for a coalition of strong women to step forward and take charge of their own destiny. The Machine is only as strong as the power YOU give them. It is naive to think that the entire social life of Greek women will dissolve if the sororities stand up for themselves. It is simple math, you have the numbers so you have the votes. Greek women were only invited to join the Machine because the men realized they could not win elections without the sorority vote. What have you gotten in exchange? Not much, unless you think Homecoming Queen every 10-12 years is a worthy prize.
