I went to a different school and did rush 20 years ago (yikes) so why am I even here? I can't explain it. But the exact same thing happened to me, and I totally get what you are saying about wanting to make the best of it but being caught off guard on Bid Day. I did not have the best Bid Day because I expected to get my #1, but I stuck it out. I made my best friends in college in my sorority, and I am still close with many sisters to this day. The funniest thing I realized is that the president of the sorority I wanted to join is basically a fan girl of my BFF from my sorority/college now in real life. In other words -- I hung around, made wonderful friends, had so much fun, and then karma worked its magic, because the place I thought I so wanted to be...ended up wanting to be with me and my BFF a decade later. Obviously this is a very specific experience, but I thought it may help to share! Have so much fun, life is what you make it, not some dumb sorority recruitment algorithm <3
