Its also a really weird time to be a first year in college because there's less chances than usual to meet people (if that makes sense). With that in mind really push yourself to talk to anyone and everyone when presented with the chance. Freshmen year is the year everyone wants to meet people so I don't think it'll come across as weird even this far into the semester.
