Nobody loves everything about a house, and loves it all from the first minute. There will always be girls that you think are annoying or restrictions that get to you. It's up to you to decide that you are going to make it work for you and then do it. She's right - don't choose a house then walk away when things get tough or you realize that it's a lot to deal with. Everybody in every house goes through those times. The people who love their houses a month after bid day are the ones who've worked for it. Put themselves out there. Made their hearts available. If the only houses you get invited back to are ones that you consider beneath you, you have two choices. Walk away from greek life, or embrace a house that wants YOU. It's up to you to decide what you want. The other houses are not going to want you next year, so give that idea up. It's now or never. If you choose sorority life, you can help make your house a house to be proud of. I personally hope that this year all 2100 or however many girls go through, decide to be happy with the houses that love them instead of longing for a top 3 house or their mom's chapter or something. One of my friends who dropped out of recruitment told me that there was nothing sadder than watching all her friends go off to chapter meetings and parties while she sat in the dorm.
