So let them - alums pick the pledge class with strong traditions, legacies and limited geographical pull. For those that this is important to, it is important and they should not be pressured to change by outsiders. Tradition can be great and withstand the winds of times and short lived trends, But it can also result in time passing you by and becoming irrelevant. Even the Queen of England has allowed a bi-racial, commoner into the family - balancing tradition and “modern times”.
