Ok so say they have 300 girls attend pref parties. They will then rank all 300 girls in order of most wanted to least wanted. They will send that in to Panhellenic and they will fill the quota first. So if quota is 130 they'll go through the list and the first 130 girls on the list who match for aphi will be the core quota. But since they are so far below chapter total they will continue to go down the list and add girls who also match. If they are unable to meet chapter total with the girls on their list (because of them receiving bids to other houses) then they would extend snap bids to fill the pledge class. Alabama has fixed quota so every house has to take the same base number and then they can have quota additions. There's really no difference between being part of the quota or a quota addition. Its basically just version of variable quota (which is in place at other schools- their panhellenic sets a different quota for each house based on their average membership total in comparison to chapter total. so houses with strong membership retention take smaller pledge classes and ones with higher drop rates take larger pledge classes). However Alabama's way of doing it ultimately results in more girls getting their first choice, VS. alot of variable quota schools go purely off of who's list you ranked higher on.
