Both APhi and DG created enough buzz when they recolonized that there were lots of PNMs who skipped formal to try out for their colonies. Both were able to be highly selective during colony recruitment and turned away many PNMs. One thing that sounds like a bad sign for SK is that they aren't requiring a rec whereas APhi and DG both did. That makes me think they're not going to be very selective. Another thing is that SK was on campus less than 20 years in all both times they were active before. That means they have a tiny alumnae base compared with APhi and DG. I don't think they have any living alums at all from the first time they were here. Plus, the second time they were active in the late '80s to mid-'90s, the chapter fell apart due to internal drama and ended up voting to close. So basically it's going to be like a sorority without any history here trying to colonize for the first time.
