<strong>Subject:</strong><br />odd reasons for not wanting a certain house, anyone?<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Did anyone else come into recruitment/rush not wanting a certain house or houses for petty, goofy, or silly reasons? I’m not talking about reputation or tiers, I mean just some strange reason. If you did, what was the reason, and how’d it go for you? When I went through recruitment, I decided before I even got here that I didn’t want anything to do with Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, or Kappa Alpha Theta, because it was all that everyone talked about in my high school back home, and I got sick of hearing about how they were the only options. Even though PKT isn’t a thing here, I still was annoyed at hearing about them, and decided that I would not be joining any of them. When I actually got here and went through recruitment, I really liked two of the three, even preffed at one of them, but ended up in a completely different house. My best friend is in one of those houses, and I’ve met great girls in all of them. Incidentally, my mom, who was not Greek in college, told me to stay away from Tri Delt because she remembered those SNL skits in the 80’s or 90’s. She was obviously joking. Anyone else?
