In think this has merit. If you look at pref lists girls rarely have the three most similar houses - and there is a lot of top- bottom mix on girls lists by pref. (I know there are exceptions but it is also common to have a wide range of houses by pref). So there are many girls (in lower ranked houses)!who had one bad conversation, or got placed with a girl with whom she just didn't click, or may have had one "enemy" in the house.
