reading your post reminds me of exactly how i felt in high school. i was very unsure of whether to rush, shy, and while i was friendly with lots of people, I only had like 3 close friends. I decided to rush just because bc i was looking for close friends and honestly the worst thing that could happen was just realize that sororities weren’t for me & drop. I am just finishing up my freshman year in a sorority and i couldn’t be happier. i found my “people” and love the house i’m in. my advice would just to go into it with an open mind, disregard all the “ranks” (they don’t matter !!!) and look for a house where you feel at home in. don’t worry about rush too much in the summer, it will all work out !!!
