I agree that $1,200 seems like a lot to be paying on a part-time waitress salary, but I think the general idea is not incorrect. I work 20 hours a week, take 15-18 credit hours a semester, and I'm super involved in my sorority as well as a couple other major organizations on campus. Am I busy from sunrise to sunset every day? Yes. Do I manage to have a healthy social and academic life while saving up for grad school? Also yes. It's possible if you're willing to work for it.
