You're saying it's "obvious" as if it's a matter of fact that KD is 100% innocent when YOU don't even know the story either unless you are in KD. And even if you were a KD you wouldn't openly admit your sorority hazes, and you would try everything you can to say it's not true. It's easy to see why it hasn't blown up because KD wants it to be a secret and it's a huge liability for the school and KD nationals. The chapter is also the oldest on campus so people are more inclined to preserve it. I can believe the girl dropped out of humiliation, but the mom was very specific about the things that happened. What reason would the girl or mom have to lie or exaggerate? If she just wanted to pledge somewhere else, why didn't she just drop or contact panhellenic? Your story just seems like a stretch.
