You got a bid so make the commitment today that you're going to put 110% effort into getting involved and making friends in DZ. No "hoping for the best" - you're going to have to do the work. Attend every DZ event you can - even the optional ones. Make lunch dates, coffee dates, & study dates with your new pledge sisters. It's awkward because at this point they're basically strangers but just do it!! Sit together in class. Make plans to go out on the weekends. If you are spending a least some time every singe day with DZs and still don't feel like you're on the path to making ANY solid friendships by initiation, then drop. But don't half ass it. My experience is that when new members who are unsure actually TRY they end up loving their new sisters and house.
