Room placement does matter, if they like you they'll place you further in the room/ closer to speakers. It also allows them to maximize talking time if you're going to be one of the last to leave. Some houses put top girls in separate rooms that are more quiet, etc. Yelling the names doesn't really mean much, I would yell the name so i'd remember when i go to score her after the round.
