Yeah, one close friend does not have as much control as you might want to think. I admit speaking to the VP Recruitment before being dropped so early in the game would be unusual for my house but it happens. Maybe they had an unusually high return rate and you just weren't ranked high enough this year. No one can say for certain why it happened but at least now you can focus on finding your real home!
