JUst know that you can never really know a houses until you're inside of it, so if even if you have friends/ connections/ etc in a certain house you still only really have an idea of it. Mostly it's important to give all the other houses an honest chance and don't come in saying "I'm going to be an XYZ and that's that" because other houses will probably end up surprising you and you'll love them too!
