I think Rush is most difficult on girls who do not have a good sense of who they are and would like to be someone they aren't. Even harder on girls who believe they are something they aren't and expect to be 'accepted' based on a distorted vision of themselves. What I mean, is if you are a girl from Illinois, cute, conversational and good grades and activities, with very nice working parents and you end up in a house of similar girls 'cause they are like you and you appreciate its a good fit, there are no tears (or anger/hate/resentment). For various reasons, this isn't a top house at Bama, but honestly it's full of wonderful girls. You'll have a great college experience. In contrast, you are that girl but got all bunched up in ranks and have a "must" get in a house considered top on GR belief, but the house is full of monied Mobile girls - even though you have NOTHING in common with them - it's going to be tears, disappointment, anger and hate. If by chance you get "in", not sure it will be a better experience than above. Be yourself girls. It will work.
