As others have said, you will be in the minority in any house so don't let that impact your recruitment. Definitely join an organization and give it time to feel it out. Get really involved in other things that interest you about Greek life (philanthropy, scholarship, bible studies if you're into that) and I promise you will make friends through that! One of my best friends couldn't drink our first semester because of a medication she was taking and she turned out just fine even though my house was listed above as a house to avoid. You may have to make more of an effort to meet people if you aren't showing up to swaps/parties but you will find friends!
