It can be a good idea if you struggle sometimes with social awkwardness/meeting new people. Or if you know absolutely nothing about rush, and you don't know any other greeks and you're the first in your family to join a sorority. A better idea would be to sit down and talk to one of the women writing recs for you. That's what I did. She invited me out to lunch, explained everything I needed to know, gave me advice, and overall I felt a lot more confident going into the process. If you do choose to do the workshop, I doubt anyone will find out that would use it against you. I mean, the only people that would know are people either teaching the class or taking it with you right? However, I wouldn't bring it up to anyone or offer this information to your rho chi or actives. Just take the class and don't mention it again.
