Here is my list: I am northern OOS and made a late decision to attend Bama. Started to get rec letters from friends and relatives in mid summer. So based on this and GR stereotypes, would have thought I'd have no chance.....(thankfully India don't read GR before I came)!!!!! 1. At pref I still had an old row, top ranked house, known for having "its pnms selected months before" and for wanting only connected girls in Mobile. 3. Don't know how it would have gone because although the "top old row house" was my favorite going into pref, another mid ranked house that I liked all along impressed me more. I chose them number one and got them. They are known as a stupid party house. I don't party that much, have a tough major and great grades, Allot of friends like me (study and only go out sometimes) are in the house. I love it. Have a great big. It's a great sisterhood for me. Never would know it based on GR commentary. 3. My third house at pref was another old row - upper mid house known for wanting southern girls. Lol. I liked them all but didn't look better them. Just saying, this northern OOS with a laye start had a shot 4. The houses I liked didn't exactly align with GR themes and cross rush beliefs. At pref I had three pretty different houses if you go by GR. I think the stereotypes are overblown. 5. Ranks. My personal beliefs are way different from most posts I see here.
