The houses like AXO DDD and KD start off the fall with more actives than GPhi and Theta because they don’t have as many members drop or fail out or leave for whatever reason. So they are larger and closer to the before and after-rush chapter totals before rush starts. Just using those chapters since those were examples that someone asked about earlier. The numbers over quota are quota additions. These are girls who did not match to any of the chapters they preffed, but if they rank ALL the chapters they preffed, even if it’s just one, then they will become a quota addition to a house they preffed as long as the house is still under chapter total. I think girls who don’t match are usually added back to the chapter they ranked first at pref if it doesn't put that chapter over total.
