I don't know what Kappa's national policy is, but I do know that some sororities REQUIRE a rec in order to pledge. My house is one of those. Even if we love you, no rec - no bid. And really, if you're specifically asking about Kappa, why don't you have a rec? It is one of the 4 largest sororities in the entire country so it's not like it's difficult to find an almumn to write one. Rush is competitive and recs are the one thing pnms can control to ensure they are not cut for not having one.
