Subject:
Need advice for sophomore rush spring 2026

Poster Message:
Hey, I’m a sophomore rushing in the spring and I need advice. I really want to find a decent fraternity that has a strong brotherhood, genuine, respectful, respected, and also has a lot of fun. Unfortunately those tend to be the top houses or don’t really exist. I’ve been trying to get into some pre rush (dirty) events at many fraternities, and I have even had my number sent to the rush chairs, but I’m not getting texts back. I’m locked in rn with work too so I don’t have the foundational relationships with brothers that a lot of these upcoming rushees are building. I want to join a “good” house (think DX and above in reputation) but I feel like they’ve already started solidifying their pc. For anyone in a fraternity I’d love to get some advice on how I need to approach rush and give myself the best chances to get into a house that I’m really going to enjoy. I don’t want generic advice like rush and get a vibe for the house. I’d prefer if someone honest and knowledgeable could drop a list of fraternities that fit my description and make a transparent comment on their personalities. I don’t want to waste my time suicide rushing top houses and getting cooked but I also don’t want to end up in a house that I end up regretting. I’d appreciate the help!
