Subject:
Is it worth it to rush as a sophomore guy?

Poster Message:
My friends and I come from a west ATL private school. There are about 4 of us and we are interested in rushing now after having been on campus a few months now. None of us had any idea what Greek life was until 4 months ago so we are kind of confused on how the process goes. Some friends we've made in Greek life the last few months have told us to rush but they did also have the caveat that sophomores have less opportunities with better fraternities. I wanted to ask on here based off of everyone's experience, is it worth it to rush as a sophomore? If not i guess we are screwed socially but we are certainly interested. All 4 of us played baseball in HS, are fairly religious as we all went to a private Christian school, and come from families that make atleast 7 figures (combining both parents income) will that be enough to sway groups hesitant on bidding sophomores? I've seen other posts about KS coming to school in 2028 but it seems like most people dont like them on the thread I was looking at. Would they be a good option or are they another "mid" group not worth looking into? I apologize if I am sounding ignorant and shallow but I just want to be straight forward about our thoughts and get yalls opinions. Thanks in advance!
