Going through rush as a sophomore was difficult regardless. Much more challenging because you do have one less year. Just because you have a stellar resume and activity history and GPA does not mean it will be a seamless process! I was in your shoes and it wasn't the best experience and I'll say it! Not because it wasn't worth it because I am SO happy, but if you are caught up in what other people are saying you are going to be thinking about all those other opinions while going through recruitment. You can't say "This chapter is bad because Person A said so". I was BLINDSIDED by houses that I had thought I knew and I really didn't. I went through the process and enjoyed the end product, but it's not for everyone. My suggestion for you is if you have a great attitude and optimize your options you'll have a great time. IF you are so worried about having all the cards on your side and having it not work out than I think you would need to re-evaluate the reasons you are going through it in the first place. Important to note, just because you have the letters, grades, etc doesn't mean "you're in"! That's all!!! (: PAN LOVE
