I posted this as a reply to another thread, but then I thought this might be a good thread in itself. When PNMs (or their helicopter parents) were feeling low during recruitment and decide to drop the process, maybe if they would try to see if from the other side of recruitment. It is hard to make snap decisions in the 15 minutes between parties when you meet 5 girls for 5-8 minutes each. We do the best we can in the time frame we have. If PNMs didn't drop out and realized the potential in the chapters that didn't make quota and pledged them instead of dropping out 1. Those chapters spend time planning and executing formal recruitment and wouldn't have to if PNMs would would be more open minded. Therefor the time used for informal could be used for sisterhood events, social events, date parties, etc. 2. The money spent for informal recruitment could be used for date parties, rewards/incentives for chapter members...lots of other things. 3. Spending time and money on formal recruitment and then reaping smaller rewards than the other chapters hurts. I am sure it can be demoralizing at times. Just my two cents and Go Hoosiers. #iubb
