I am going to be so honest if you are 21 or older, it is a little bit odd to rush. Think about it this way. You will be older than 50% of your chapter. You will enter a pledge class primarily made up of 18/19 year olds. All sororities have a bar ban to some extent so you will not be able to go out to a bar despite being of age and will be encouraged to not drink with actives or post drinking (depending on your chapter). You will have an executive board that is most likely younger than you telling you what to do, and ik some people could be fine with that but it is something to consider. you will also most likely mingle with girls in your current member class. so it would be honestly odd being 21+ hanging out with mainly 18/19 year olds. Most members who are 21 have gone through that party phase and are focusing on their career or other involvement opportunities. I know a lot of chapters can drop just because you are older. I wouldn't take it personally but it is also odd to say "my grade are really good and im above average looking". Recruitment is getting more competitive as the rush pool gets bigger. As someone who has served on the recruitment exec board of her chapter, I want to give you a very realistic pov. I know girls who rushed as sophomores who have an amazing time in their chapter but most of them are 19/20 which is honestly not that odd of a gap. Give it a shot if you want but just know there were a couple of "older" girls who rushed this year who did not have a successful rush.
