Pink is an unofficial color. The original colors are connected to the foundation of the gamma phi sorority. Pink was added much later after establishing connections to the Girls on the Run organization and since it would connect to the pink carnation. No one is trying to steal phi mu's Thunder. It's literally just something added to go with the philanthropic focus and mission. And yes phi mu was founded first by 22 years but gamma phi coined the term "sorority" everyone before is considered a women's fraternity
