I came here not knowing anybody and wanted to rush several fraternities that I was told had good reputations. I ended up following my buddies elsewhere and have been ambivalent since. I don't hate my house, more so the way I am treated as a member. In essence, if I were not a member of this house I feel as though I would have more opportunities to meet people because of the connotation my letters bring. As a result I don't advertise my letters but I have had several people quit talking to me or never treat me the same once they discover my fraternity. I fail to see why people at this school judge a person so critically by what greek group they are in. Sure stereotypes were created for a reason, but we are all grown individuals and I'm done being treated as less than other people who at the end of the day are my equal: a person. So my question is, in absence of greekrank, do you think people would be less judgemental, more friendly and treat others better if ranks/tiers or "reputations/personalities" weren't a click away?
