Kappa Alpha Theta at Oklahoma State
The Beta Zeta chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Oklahoma State got its start as a secret society. Developed in 1913, the group was known as Alpha Theta, or AT (Afternoon Teas) and they met at the members’ homes. They started a petition in 1916 to be chartered, but the plans were put on hold when the United States entered World War I. They were officially charted in 1919.
